Meet Leticia Tye, LPCC, LMHC, PMH-C

Your Trauma & Postpartum Specialist in Brevard County, FL

Hello! I'm Leticia, a psychotherapist, California Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) therapist.

I specialize in helping adults navigate the effects of trauma, relationship challenges, eating disorders, perinatal and postpartum mental health concerns, and LGBTQ+ identities and experiences. I have completed advanced post-graduate training in trauma treatment, somatic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), LGBTQ+ affirmative care, and trauma-informed care.

I believe that healing is possible for everyone. My passion is helping clients release the weight of past experiences, build healthier and more secure relationships, and move through life with greater authenticity, confidence, and ease. Together, we'll draw on your innate strengths while developing practical, evidence-based tools that support lasting change both inside and outside the therapy room.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by past wounds, struggling in your relationships, or navigating a major life transition, you don't have to do it alone. Therapy can provide a space to better understand yourself, heal old patterns, and create a life that feels more connected, meaningful, and fulfilling.

Taking the first step can feel difficult, but you don't have to have it all figured out before reaching out. Healing is possible, and I'd be honored to support you on your journey.

Pre and Postpartum

You carry the invisible mental load that comes with balancing motherhood, work, relationships, and the countless responsibilities of everyday life. It can feel overwhelming, exhausting, and isolating.

Therapy offers a space where you don't have to hold it all together. Together, we'll slow down, make sense of what you're carrying, and create room to reconnect with yourself. We'll work on reducing overwhelm, setting healthy boundaries, managing stress with greater ease, and rediscovering the person you are beyond the roles of mom, partner, or professional. My hope is that you'll leave therapy feeling more grounded, supported, and connected to the life you want to live.

Counseling for Trauma & PTSD

Trauma can leave you feeling stuck in survival mode; constantly on edge, disconnected from yourself, or weighed down by experiences that continue to affect your relationships, emotions, and sense of safety. Even when you want to move forward, your mind and body may still be carrying the impact of the past.

Therapy offers a safe, compassionate space to process what you've been through at your own pace. Together, we'll work to understand how trauma has shaped your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and nervous system while building practical tools to help you feel more grounded and secure. Using a trauma-informed, somatic approach, we'll focus on helping your mind and body reconnect, so you can move beyond survival and begin living with greater peace, confidence, and authenticity.

Couples Counseling

Relationships can be one of our greatest sources of connection and one of our deepest sources of pain. Whether you're feeling disconnected, caught in the same arguments, struggling to rebuild trust, or finding it difficult to communicate, you don't have to navigate it alone.

Couples and relational therapy provides a space where everyone feels heard, understood, and respected. Together, we'll identify the patterns keeping you stuck, strengthen communication, deepen emotional connection, and develop healthier ways of navigating conflict. My approach is grounded in attachment, trauma-informed care, and practical tools that help you better understand both yourself and one another. The goal isn't to determine who's right or wrong. It's to help you create a relationship that feels safer, more connected, and more fulfilling.

Eating Disorders

Your relationship with food and your body doesn't have to be defined by guilt, fear, or constant self-criticism. Whether you're struggling with disordered eating, an eating disorder, chronic dieting, binge eating, restrictive behaviors, or negative body image, healing is possible.

Therapy provides a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to explore the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that fuel these patterns. Together, we'll address the underlying issues. not just the symptoms, while developing a healthier relationship with food, your body, and yourself. Using an evidence-based, trauma-informed, and somatic approach, we'll work toward greater self-compassion, body trust, and freedom so that food and body image no longer control your life.

LGBTQIA+ Individual Therapy

Living authentically isn't always easy. Whether you're exploring your identity, navigating the coming out process, healing from discrimination or rejection, strengthening your relationships, or simply looking for a therapist who truly understands, you deserve a space where you can show up as your whole self.

LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy offers a safe, inclusive, and nonjudgmental environment where your identity is celebrated; not questioned or pathologized. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing while building on your strengths, resilience, and sense of self. Whether you're working through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, family dynamics, or life transitions, my goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered to create a life that aligns with who you are.

Somatic Based Therapy

Sometimes, talking about what you've been through isn't enough. Trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, and overwhelming life experiences can become stored in the body, leaving you feeling disconnected, constantly on edge, emotionally reactive, or simply exhausted.

Somatic therapy helps you reconnect with your body's innate capacity to heal. By gently increasing awareness of physical sensations, nervous system responses, and emotional patterns, we'll work together to restore a greater sense of safety, regulation, and balance. Rather than forcing change, this approach honors your body's pace while helping you release survival patterns that no longer serve you. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, present, and connected to yourself so you can move through life with greater ease and resilience.

2. Schedule your first session

During our consultation call we'll discuss scheduling and find a weekly day and time to meet. I typically recommend weekly sessions because they better allow you to make desired progress towards your goals. Once you schedule a session, I will email you a welcome email to the therapy portal where you will find intake forms and assessments to complete. You can also schedule using this link.

3. Start your growth

In the first sessions, we'll gather information about your history, and solidify goals for therapy. I will also share information to help you understand your struggles and how we can alleviate them. I aim for therapy to feel like a collaboration, so there will be room for you to ask questions and share thoughts or feelings. You can consider these early sessions as a time for us to identify and form our treatment plan. This will allow us to move forward while tracking our progress together.
